We would like to announce that the DOTA2 version of Warlock has been released.
It is available in steam workshop: Play it here.
The mod is now available on Steam and works in the new Dota 2 beta client. A guide on how to install it can be found here. Once you installed them watch the video on the Warlock workshop site to see how to host.

Older versions
- Version 02.11 released (July 25th): Fixes the distance scaling issue (aka slow game issue) and numerous other bugs
- Version 02.13 released (July 27th): Major changes across the board. New spells, items added, game mode changed to best of 11, and much more.
- Version 02.14 released (July 29th): Added pillars, changed the spell cast time for more fluid gameplay, added entangle (now known as grip), added fireball + lightning combo, new models and much more.
- Version 02.15 released (August 1st): Added arena variations, added new spells (Thrust, Homing, Drain), added cast animations, various bug fixes and effect changes, changed cast point of spells
- Version August 8th: Due to the release of DotA 2 workshop and engine change, effects, materials, sounds, models including custom models will have to be remade. In spite of this, the first 'official' release of Warlock in Dota 2 is now playable. Note that the current version has taken a step back in regard to the visual aspect due to the engine change.
- Version August 9th: Re-implemented terrain variation and fixed many serious bugs. NB: We are aware that the game frequently crashes for some players, which makes it almost impossible to start large team games. This major issue is in the hands of Valve and will hopefully be fixed soon.
- Version August 11th: Added new ability "Warpzone", the three masteries "duration", "range", "life steal" and "Jack of all Trades". Warpzone is a new Y-column ability (didn't exist in WC3). The masteries have a constant gold cost and are completely rebalanced (further adjustments will be made).
- Version August 12th: Fixed massive lag issue, and fixed an issue related to buff durations
- Version August 19th: Added Shuffle/FFA and host option UI! Added 2 new items (Pocket watch and cursed ring), rebalanced masteries, fixed gravity+range mastery bug, adjusted Scourge cast time, fixed reconnect issues, full changelog here
- Version August 22nd: Toraxxx cracked the compiled format of particle effects (and all vpk content). We are now able to bring you modded particle effects, which suits the game much better. Added new effects for fireball, homing, gravity, boomerang collision, and more - and decreased the loading time of the mod

Not all features of the WC3 versions are implemented yet, but we will be working to recreate the original Warlock experience.
